David L. Cowan

David Lorenzo Cowan, age 67, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in WVU Uniontown Hospital, after a brief illness.

David was born on June 27, 1958, in Uniontown Hospital. He grew up in Ronco, Pennsylvania, along with one brother and two sisters. He was educated in the Albert Gallatin Area School District and graduated from German Township Senior High School. In his early years David was quiet and friendly, and he carried that personality into adulthood.

In his early adulthood David was employed in various positions, including working at the Volkswagen plant in New Stanton, Pennsylvania. For a few years, David lived in Charlottesville, Virginia, but he eventually returned to his roots in the Fayette County area where he had many friends.

David enjoyed hanging out with friends, sharing a laugh and a beer, and you could always find him taking long walks.

Along with his parents, William Theodore and Phyllis Esther (Wallace) Cowan, David was preceded in death by his brother, William Daniel Cowan and sister, Lois Ann Cowan. To cherish his memory, David is survived by his sister, Linda Cowan Jackson (Aubrey) and their daughter, India Jackson Tizol (Antonio) and many other relatives and friends.
